  • MARK SUNDAY,CIO, Siebel Systems
    Mark Sunday has been the CIO of Siebel Systems since August of 1999. Siebel is the world's leading provider of eBusiness applications software. Siebel Systems provides an integrated family of eBusiness applications software, enabling multichannel sales, marketing and customer service systems to be deployed over the Web, call centers, field, reseller channels, retail and dealer networks.

    In his role at Siebel, Mark is responsible for ensuring that Siebel is the benchmark implementation of eBusiness, enabling all of Siebel’s employees and partners to be more effective in serving their customers than their counterparts in any other organization. Mark’s team lead the development of Siebel’s employee portal, mySiebel, which was the genesis for Siebel’s ERM offering.

    Prior to Siebel, Mark spent ten years at Motorola Semiconductor in the role of VP & Director, Computer Integrated Manufacturing and most recently, VP & Director, Technology Development for the IT organization. In these roles he managed the development and operation of global manufacturing and eBusiness solutions. Prior to joining Motorola, Mark held various IT leadership positions at SGS Thomson for ten years. Mark began his career at Texas Instruments as an engineer in 1976. Mark holds a BSE from the University of Michigan and a MBA from Southern Methodist University.

  • PHIL BECKER, Editor, Digital ID World
    Phil Becker is the Editor-in-Chief of Digital ID World and Managing Partner of Digital Identity World, LLC. He has been in the computer industry since 1967 and has his signature on both the Moon and Mars as part of computer communications projects he built for the Apollo and Viking missions. He has created technology to link computers for both the pre-Internet and Internet eras and as an entrepreneur he has built and taken public companies in the computer communications space. In 1992 he founded ISPCON and grew it to be the premiere Internet Service Provider Trade Show. Phil is a best selling author and speaker on the Internet and its impact on business and society.
  • BILL SMITH, Director, Liberty Alliance Technology, Sun Microsystems & Secretary, Liberty Alliance
    Bill Smith is the Director of Liberty Alliance Technology at Sun Microsystems and represents Sun on the Management Board at the Liberty Alliance Project. In addition, he serves as the Secretary of the Alliance.

    Mr. Smith is the past President of OASIS, an industry consortium that advocates structured information standards like XML. In that capacity, he served on the Executive Committee of ebXML, the joint OASIS/United Nations Electronic Business initiative.

    Prior to joining Sun in 1996 he was the Director of Research and Development at Electronic Book Technologies. He holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Computer Science, both from Brown University.

  • GARY HEIN, VP, Corporate Architecture and Strategy, Novell
    Responsible for championing Novell's support of open standards, architecture, and strategy. Eleven years in the networking industry, including the design and deployment of directory services and directory-enabled solutions for Fortune 500 customers.

    Prior experience includes positions within Novell's marketing, sales, engineering, consulting, and support groups. Gary was also a Senior Analyst at Burton Group, a leading research and advisory firm. Gary earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University.

  • KEVIN O'NEIL, Executive Director, International Trust, Security, and Privacy Alliance
    Mr. O'Neil is founder, Chairman & CEO of CYVA Research Corporation, an independent software development and systems integration firm. As Executive Director of ISTPA, he serves as the administrator for their Privacy Tools and Technology research project and is co-editor and contributing author to the ISTPA's Privacy Framework. Prior to this engagement Mr. O'Neil served as a manager with KPMG's Information Risk Management practice and was the catalyst for thte development and principal author of KPMG's Global Privacy Services methodology.

  • KEN SIMS, VP, Marketing and Business Development, Oblix
    Ken Sims is responsible for driving Oblix's marketing strategy and for building strategic alliances with leading technology vendors and implementation partners. Mr. Sims has more than 19 years experience in business development, marketing and sales management positions with technology companies. Prior to joining Oblix in April of 2001, Mr. Sims served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for EnjoyWeb, a provider of media delivery software. Previously, he worked for Inktomi Corporation and Silicon Graphics. While at Silicon Graphics, Mr. Sims played an instrumental role in the development of the company's entertainment technology business.
  • DANIEL PHELAN, Director, US Western Region and Latin America Sales, RSA Security
    Daniel Phelan has been with RSA Security since 1998 and has more than 12 years of information security and network communications experience. He serves RSA Security customers in the western U.S. and Latin America, and as a result, he can provide specific real-world examples of the technical and cultural challenges involved in deploying information security throughout the Western Hemisphere. Prior to RSA, Phelan worked for AT&T Business Solutions, helping businesses resolve data communications challenges, and for Classic Datacom, an East Coast systems integrator.
  • BRENT ISRAELSEN, CEO and Chairman, NxLight
    Mr. Israelsen is responsible for the overall vision, strategy and execution of NxLight's business plan. Mr. Israelsen was Chairman, CEO, President and Founder of iLumin Corporation. Previously, Mr. Israelsen served as President of Jurisoft, a division of Lexis-Nexis based in Cambridge, MA. He was a practicing attorney focused on technology issues at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Washington, DC and served as a clerk to the Honorable Moody R. Tidwell at the United States Claims Court. Mr. Israelsen co-founded the Utah Electronic Law and Commerce Partnership and was appointed by Governor Leavitt as an initial member of the Utah Electronic Commerce Council. Mr. Israelsen holds a JD from Brigham Young University.
  • PHILLIP WINDLEY, Former CIO, State of Utah
    Phillip J. Windley is a nationally recognized expert in using information technology (IT) to add value to the business. Dr. Windley regularly consults with businesses on this topic. He is particularly interested in the areas of interoperability, web services, XML, and digital identity. Dr. Windley is a frequent author and speaker on these topics and authors a free, daily web-based newsletter at www.windley.com.

    Dr. Windley served from 2001-2002 as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the State of Utah, serving on the Governor's Cabinet and as a member of his Senior Staff. In this capacity he was responsible for effective use of all IT resources in the state and advised the Governor on technology issues. During his tenure, the State was repeatedly recognized by many national groups for its excellence in the areas of IT and eGovernment. Prior to his appointment as CIO, Dr. Windley served as Vice President for Product Development and Operations at Excite@Home, managing a large, interdisciplinary team of product managers, engineers, and technicians developing and operating large scale Internet and e-commerce products.

  • JOHN McDOWALL, CTO, Grand Central
    John has over 20 years experience in creating and developing products and site architectures, building and managing development teams, and setting the overall technical vision for the company. Prior to joining Grand Central Communications, John was chief technology officer and vice president engineering at mySimon where he was responsible for managing operations, product development and setting the direction for future development. While at mySimon, he managed the growth of mySimon to become the leading comparison-shopping site in terms of usage, performance, reliability and revenue.

    Before joining mySimon, John also served as chief technology officer and vice president software development at 2Bridge Software, an enterprise Internet portal developer, and as senior architect at TIBCO, an enterprise integration platform developer, respectively.
